The former Snows Motor Group site on Forest Road in Newport has been sold to Joedan Windows & Doors, with plans now in place to redevelop the location and expand the firm’s operations on the Isle of Wight.
It has been confirmed that Joedan, which is currently based at nearby Daish Way, has completed the purchase of the prominent site vacated by Snows in February last year.
Joedan’s expansion is expected to create employment and training opportunities on the Isle of Wight with ‘exciting’ plans for the location, although specific details have not yet been confirmed.
Joedan has been approached for a statement.
The premises had previously served as a major car dealership hub before Snows made the decision to close the Forest Road Motor Park. The writing was on the wall when, in October 2023, Island Echo revealed that BMW and Mini would disappear from the Island.
