UPDATED: As fog continues to engulf the Island, ferry operators have announced a series of cancellations and delays this afternoon (Friday).
Wightlink say their Yarmouth-Lymington service has been suspended, whilst their Fishbourne-Portsmouth service is delayed by up to 90 minutes.
Red Funnel’s hi-speed Red Jet is running a two-craft shuttle service, as are Hovertravel between Ryde and Southsea.
UPDATE @ 17:01 – Red Funnel have announced that their vehicle ferry service has been suspended until further notice due to the fog.
UPDATE @ 18:40 – Wightlink say their Fishbourne-Portsmouth car ferry service is delayed by up to 3 hours due to the continuing reduced visibility.
The Met Office has issued yet another weather warning for fog which will remain in force until 10:00 tomorrow morning.
Forecasters say the fog is expected to become more widespread and freezing in places tonight and into Saturday morning.
