Firefighters from Ryde have tackled a small van fire in St Helens this morning (Friday). 1 appliance was mobilised to The Green car park at just before 09:45 when a member of the public reported smoke issuing from the engine bay of a LDV Maxus. 2 firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and armed with a hose reel have successfully extinguished the fire, which was contained and put out before it could take hold. The vehicle’s owner is aware and the incident has been left in their hands.
