Firefighters from Newport and East Cowes have attended a road traffic collision on Betty Haunt Lane in Newport this morning (Tuesday).
Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the scene off Forest Road at around 09:00 after a vehicle overturned onto its roof in icy conditions, however fire crews were stood down from the scene around 30 minutes later.
No one has been seriously injured in the incident, which resulted in the closure of the road.
Island Roads have carried out a gritting run on Betty Haunt Lane and other rural routes.
The sub-zero temperatures have led to a number of incidents across the Island this morning including at Bleak Down, Niton, where a motorcycle came off the road.
