Firefighters are this afternoon (Saturday) attending to a smoke-filled property in Brading.
Crews from Ryde, Newport and Shanklin were called to the scene on Morton Road shortly after 14:30, however it was discovered that the small fire had been extinguished upon arrival.
An elderly lady aged in her 80s has been seen by paramedics for slight smoke inhalation, however has not been required to go to hospital and the ambulance has now left the scene.
One appliance from Shanklin Fire Station is still in attendance, however is expected to leave shortly after successfully ventilating the bungalow.
The road remains open.
