54-year-old Teresa Jackman, a female prison officer who is accused of engaging in sexual communication with a serving prisoner at HMP Isle of Wight, has appeared in court this morning (Tuesday).
Jackman, now of Appley Rise in Ryde but formerly of Yaverland Road in Sandown, has been charged with being the holder of public office and wilfully neglecting to perform her duty/wilfully misconducting herself, contrary to common law.
It’s said that between May 2021 and July 2021, Jackman misconducted herself in a way which amounted to an abuse of the public’s trust by engaging in sexual communication with a prisoner.
Furthermore, it is claimed she visited and unlocked his cell at times which created a risk to other inmates and staff.
Appearing at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court today, Jackman spoke only to confirm her name, address and date of birth.
The case has been sent up to the Isle of Wight Crown Court where the 54-year-old will appear on Monday 13th March 2023.
It seems to be a running theme at that prison with Lauren Mcintyre having the same levels of excitement a few years back
These females who are willing to engage in sexual nature with the sick deprived and evil minded sex offenders must be inclined of a sexual nature themselves ie finding that rape murder of children is exciting I hope as per the previous female officer she is given a long custodial sentence
Where does it say at the time the prisoner was a sex offender ?.Why should she get a long prison sentence, taking up a cell that could be for some real scum and nasty law breaking person . She is not a risk to public or put public at risk.
As it’s HMP IOW I’m pretty sure the prisoner was a sex offender which means they are scum and in your words “nasty law breaking person”.Her actions not only put her colleagues at risk (who are also members of the public) she also put the public at risk as her actions may have eventually led to far reaching security issues ,ya know like blackmailing her to do many unsavoury things.Give your head a wobble
HMP IOW only holds sex offenders and child murderers, remand prisoners 99% are how you say it normal criminals, the officer in question is as the monster she had affection for deserves to be removed from society Freddie you need to grow up and look at the wider picture,unless of course you would defend a sick deviant.

Needs locking up in an Asylum. Face it for any decent Woman to wish to work within a prison is unusual and like a male wishing to work with young children they need very close scrutiny imo for all times.
