34-year-old Florentin Arabagui, who took his co-worker to a corner shop after consuming 4 beers, has been banned from driving for 23 months.
Arabagui, who lives and work at Wight Salads at Hale Common, appeared before the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court on Tuesday charged with 1 count of drink driving. He was dressed in a tracksuit with a baseball cap.
The court heard that on 14th August, at around 21:00 at night, the attention of Police officers patrolling the area of Branstone was caught when they sighted a Mercedes C-Class swerving all over the road.
Officers stopped the vehicle and conducted a roadside breath test on the driver, now known to be Arabagui. He blew 86, later providing an evidential reading of 93.
Defending, Oscar Vincent said that his client was of previous good character and had been living and working in the UK for just over 6 years. He explained to the bench that his client had 2 children living at home in Romania, looked after by grandparents.
Turning to the drink driving itself, Mr Vincent said that Arabagui had finished work and had returned to his caravan where he consumed 3-4 beers. A co-worker then asked for a lift to the nearby Premier shop at Apse Heath. Arabagui, feeling fine to drive, decided to drive along Newport Road to the shop.
Magistrates handed Florentin Arabagui a 23-month driving ban, a 12-month community order with 80 hours of unpaid work and ordered him to pay £85 costs with a £114 surcharge.

And the reason the largest majority of drink driving on the Isle of Wight is by white Brits is because despite the huge families that enrichers often have, the Island still has a white majority of Brits here so no surprising stats in your data.
The crime is the same, but most guests in others houses behave in a more impeccable fashion than when at home.
It is called respect, and if you are a guest in anothers land, then only right they do the same.

Yes this so called imported ‘cheap labour’ is working out rather more expensive than we were all led to believe.
As by the time a family arrives, has to have a house, as none arrive with a home, so costing several hundred thousand, and free NHS treatment, free schooling, often with one-to-one helpers for non English speaking children, and then if earning low wage get such and their rent made up via tax credits, it will be found they are taking far more out than the miserable sum of tax and NI paid in.
Then if they commit crime, an additional burden on us all.

It would seem that English is not your first language. Therefore you are probably aware that such employers prefer to employ non indigenous staff so that they can pay them in very low cash wages. Those staff can get away without paying taxes into the UK economy as the cash is untraceable and the employer can wipe his hands of them whenever.
