Challenging weather conditions didn’t deter competitors at Freshwater Bay Golf Club as members battled strong winds in the club’s latest foursomes stableford competition for the Champagne Trophy.
Despite the blustery conditions sweeping across the course, it was the pairing of Jackie Evitts and Liz Morris who came out on top, securing victory with an impressive 35 points.
Just behind them were Sammi Keen and Penny Diez, who claimed the runners-up spot with a solid 33 points.
The competition, a popular fixture in the club’s calendar, tested players’ skill and teamwork, particularly in the demanding conditions at the cliff-top course overlooking the English Channel.
