This is because of the new 20mph rules! If we could drive at 80mph this crash would never have happened!
Stop posting drivel. 80 mph! Idiot.
I think it was a joke. In bad taste maybe, but I found it funny.
Boy racer by any chance or just another idiot who has forgotten what they were taught when learning to drive.
A young driver pulled out into the path of the other car so stop making assumptions before knowing facts!!!
Who’s talking about who pulled out first, i am talking about the mention of doing 80mph so get your facts right before making the assumptions you have made.
Another old person who should be off the road
Has that single lonely brain cell of yours not realised that if we are all unlucky you are growing older by the second, does mummy know you are playing with the computer again?
So to make place for the idiot boy racers, get real.
You should be ashamed of yourself for commentating irresponsibly like you have. You haven’t got the balls to put your name on this but the good news is that your IP address can be traced. Pathetic!
You can’t do anything with the IP address… Good luck with CGN 🙂
I can only imagine speed is to blame, seems to be a big problem on the
Island.
Or you could just take a extra bit of care when pulling out ,
Agree. People who are not familiar with the Downs road are not aware of how fast cars are actually travelling. I had a car pull out in front of me, I can tell you, how that car didn’t get T-Boned I don’t know. I wasn’t breaking the speed limit but It pulled out so slowly, I had to slam on my anchors. It was like it was happening in slow motion! Much more aware of cars sitting at the side roads now.
Can be selfish people speeding, or as this narrow road from Limekiln or Rowlands lane only needs a driver to glance wrongly but one direction only into the traffic lane they are going to pull out into, and if clear, an overtaking car can be on their side of the road as they pull out.
Too many cars too many houses no speed cameras no Police just a free for all.
Surely with cheap hi tech cameras with wi fi on a basic phone, the cost must be minimal to install such at hidden or random cameras on most every road on the Island?
Film is old hat, digital images are live, and fool proof, USE IT COUNCIL and POLICE
Isle of mad need to be treated like children, they must be policed, wait for the idiots van drivers tomorrow morning, they are skilled with their hands but nothing up top….
There are too many vehicles on this small island.
I would put a maximum of the number of vehicles households can own.
Parking permits islandwide would reduce the amount of unnesseccary vehicles
that are clogging up island roads, it would also be good for the climate.
On the Island they are not doing anything to help the climate.
Some Councils on the mainland charge owners of dirty diesel vehicles
extra to park.
That is because no one on the island gives a F*ck about the climate.
The Council are also clueless.
The problem we have now on the Island, is that some drivers have the misconception the speed limit is not important, for goodness sake! If the limit is 40, that’s there for a reason. Had an idiot yesterday travelling at what must have been 80 MPH along Ashey Road, thankfully I’d noticed they were travelling at a ridiculous speed and didn’t pull out from Deacon’s Lane, something needs to be done about these idiots!
There is NO Law and Order on the Island when it comes to motoring.
All IW Council are bothered about is fining people who park in car parks or
along seafronts, they have no idea about Road Safety.
What an unusual place for am accident !!!!!
Hi guys… just to clarify to all these comments and assumptions, I am the young driver from this crash. No speeding involved actually and no one was hurt apart from me.
