UPDATED: Police, paramedics and the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service are attending a road traffic collision in Freshwater this morning (Tuesday), where it is feared 1 person is trapped inside their vehicle.
Emergency crews are in attendance on Middleton between Summers Lane and Bedbury Lane having been alerted to the incident at around 10:15.
Fire crews from Freshwater and Newport are attending the crash as 1 vehicle – a silver Honda Jazz – has come to rest on its side. No other vehicles are thought to be involved.
The road is currently closed in both directions.
UPDATE @ 11:34 – 1 casualty has been freed from the vehicle, however they have not been conveyed to hospital.
Middleton has now reopened.
