Elm Grove in Newport has been closed from its junction with Whitepit Lane for a distance of 51 metres.
Southern Water to carry out emergency repairs.
The diversion will affect these streets: Linden Road, Winston Road, Whitepit Lane
The Isle of Wight Council will temporarily revoke the one-way restriction in Elm Grove, Newport from its junction with Linden Road for approx 41m in a southerly direction.
The revocation is necessary to allow access to residences and businesses whilst the Emergency Southern Water works are carried out.
Diversion route(s) will be signed at the time of closure. Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the road is closed.
The closure went in place at 10:45 hours on 15th July 2020 and will remain in place for a maximum period of five days or until the works are complete, whichever is sooner.
