Police are investigating after 2 people were bitten by a dog in East Cowes over the past week, with the offending animal’s owner now identified.
3 separate incidents are reported to have occurred on 12th, 15th and 19th November. The first 2 incidents saw members of the public bitten, and the third incident resulted in another dog being bitten and sustaining puncture wounds.
The 2 members of the public required medical treatment for their injuries, and the injured dog was taken to the vet and given antibiotics and pain relief.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has been following up a number of enquiries, and have since identified and spoken with a man suspected of being in charge of the dog involved in these incidents.
The offending dog is no longer in this person’s possession and investigations continue.
Anyone with any further information is asked to contact Police on 101.

There seems to be loads of persons who cannot look
after themselves own dogs.
People should be vetted before being allowed to own a dog.
