UPDATED: Emergency services are this lunchtime attending an incident at Church Litten, Newport where a man is believed to have been found deceased on a park bench.
A cordon has been put in place while investigations are carried out to rule out any suspicious activity.
Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene shortly before 12:30, as reported by Island Echo.
Traffic is building up in the area, which is affecting Southern Vectis Routes 2, 3, 8 and 38.
UPDATE @ 13:25 – It has been confirmed that the incident is not being treated as suspicious. It is understood the unnamed male has died from natural causes.
A section of the park near to the Lord Louis Library remains cordoned off this afternoon.
