Cross Lane in Newport has been closed from its junction with Howard Close to its junction with Bellmeade Lane for a distance of 15 metres.
This is to enable Southern Water (Cappagh Brown) to carry out emergency repairs to a sewer.
The diversion will affect these streets: Cross Lane, Halberry Lane, Fairlee Road, Newport Footpath 208, Cycle Track From Newport To Wootton, Staplers Road.
Diversion route(s) will be signed at the time of closure. Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the road is closed.
The road was closed at 11:00 hours on 14th April 2020, and will remain closed for a maximum period of five days or until the works are complete, whichever is sooner.
