UPDATED: Emergency services are attending a 2-Car crash on Eddington Road between St Helens and Nettlestone this afternoon (Sunday).
A Mazda 323F and a Ford Transit Connect have collided on a sharp bend, causing significant damage to both vehicles.The crash occurred at just gone 14:00.
No one has been seriously injured in the incident, but paramedics are checking over those involved. 1 person – the driver of the silver Mazda – remains in the vehicle.
The road has been blocked in both directions. Motorists should divert via Beaper Shute.
UPDATE @ 15:40 – The road has now re-opened in both directions following recovery of the vehicles by Bartletts Service Station.
1 person has been conveyed to hospital.
