UPDATED: The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service are in attendance at Cowes High Street this afternoon (Wednesday) over fears of a building fire.
Crews from Newport are currently inspecting an office premises above local café Tiffins, near to Cowes Yacht Haven. A further appliance from East Cowes is en-route to the scene.
It is thought smoke was seen issuing from the building, although there is currently no obvious signs of fire.
UPDATE @ 13:58 – Fire crews have now stood down from the incident and are returning to station.
All local businesses remain open as normal.
