FOUND: Concerns are tonight (Monday) growing for a missing 17-year-old boy from Newport who hasn’t been seen in over 4 days.
An appeal has this evening been launched by Hampshire Constabulary in a bid to locate Dion Temperton, who hasn’t been seen since 15:00 on Thursday afternoon when he was due to travel to the Island from Portsmouth via the Wightlink Fastcat to Ryde Pier Head.
He hasn’t made contact with his family since then.
The Isle of Wight’s District Inspector, Insp Paul Savill, has tonight said:
“We’ve been conducting a range of enquiries over the Easter weekend to locate and contact Dion. Our thanks go to Dion’s family, partner agencies and public transport operators for their assistance with the investigation so far.
“There is no information to suggest Dion is a victim of crime or suspected of any wrongdoing. However, we are clearly concerned that Dion appears to have had no contact with anyone since Thursday afternoon (April 17).
“We are appealing directly to Dion for him to contact either police or his family just to let us know he is safe and well.”
Dion is described as around 5ft 8″ tall, with blonde hair and is said to be of medium build. He has blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue Henry Lloyd jacket, brown Adidas trousers and a green baseball cap with ‘Fly’ written on it. He no longer has red hair, as pictured.
Dion is known to have links in the Portsmouth, Havant, Waterlooville, Hayling Island and the Kent areas.
UPDATE WEDNESDAY @ 19:50 – Missing Dion Temperton has been found safe and well on the Isle of Wight, Police have confirmed.
