Staff at Monkey Haven had quite the surprise when they were asked to adopt a quail who had been rescued after falling from the sky.
The quail – now named Colin – was attended to by the RSPCA when a lucky landing saw him discovered after what’s thought to have been an attack by a bird of prey.
Colin suffered wounds caused by the talons of the predator but was mostly otherwise unharmed by the fall.
After a few days of medication in RSPCA care, and many failed attempts to find his owner, Colin was rehomed by Monkey Haven and has since joined their own quail family.
It’s hoped that will be the end of Colin’s sky-high adventures.

So glad Colin is ok and has been found a nice, safe home with good company.
