UPDATED: Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team and Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Team are conducting a search of Yaverland this morning (Friday) over concerns for a female dog walker.
Coastguard officers are searching the cliff tops between Yaverland and Culver following reports that a woman walked towards Culver along the beach over an hour ago but has not returned.
The woman is described as wearing a bright coat and was last seen walking 2 dogs.
If you or anyone you know was in the vicinity of Yaverland, Culver or Sandown Holiday Park between 10:20 and 11:20, and match the above description, then call HM Coastguard on 999.
UPDATE – The search has been called off. The woman has been found safe and well.
The incident is being declared a false alarm with good intent.
