UPDATED: Emergency services are attending Culver Down near Sandown this afternoon (Saturday).
More than 5 Police units and Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team are currently in attendance near to the cliff edge after responding to what is believed to be a concern for welfare call.
Police arrived at the scene shortly after 13:00.
UPDATE @ 13:50 – Emergency crews have now been stood down with the situation being deemed a false alarm with good intent.
Police and Coastguard have now left the scene.
Culver Down remains open to the public.
