A series of burst water mains have left residents and businesses in Cowes without water today (Wednesday).
Bricks have been lifted and holes have emerged on Watch House Lane outside The Union pub following 1 of the bursts, which has resulted in the closure of the cut through.
York Street has also been closed as a result of a burst main and last night Victoria Road was closed due to yet another burst.
Southern Water say they are aware of the issues and engineers are working to restore a normal supply. No time of completion has been given.
A spokesperson for Southern Water has said:
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused and we thank you for your patience”.
