A Ryde woman who stole 3 Christmas trees from a shop in Shanklin has been ordered to pay compensation to supermarket giant Lidl. Sasha Bryan, of Kent Street, appeared before Magistrates on 25th January charged with theft from a shop. At the hearing, the 44-year-old entered a guilty plea. The court heard how on 24th November last year, Bryan entered the Lidl store on Landguard Manor Road in Shanklin and stole 3 Christmas trees. The total value of the items stolen was just under £37. Magistrates ordered Bryan to pay a fine of £80 and compensation of £36.97 to Lidl. She was also ordered to pay costs of £85 and a £32 surcharge fee.

On the fiddle at Lidl
What a criminal mastermind!
She’d planned to retire on the proceeds of this criminal spree.
In 2020, Sasha Bryan appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court after stealing £1,020 worth of goods including alcohol and loads of candles. She was given a community order to include ten rehabilitation days and was ordered to pay £231.93 compensation.
In November 2023, Sasha Bryan was handed four penalty points and fined £440 for speeding. Probably stole the trees to pay towards the fine.
She should retire from all criminal activities because she is obviously crap at it. Best sit by her Christmas trees under candlelight drinking the booze.
LOL. 3 trees. Next year she’s going for 4.
Oakfield always full of low life and it has likely bred pram fulls more to add to future generations woe.
What an obnoxious comment.
It was rather obnoxious, but for a long time it was true. I don’t know if it’s improved now but when I lived there crime was rife.
Bring back the birch, I say.
I’ll stick with pine. I don’t think birch Christmas trees would catch on.
she will now understand the full meaning of “giving” whilst she pays those fines
