A careless driver almost became carless after losing control and putting the vehicle onto 2 wheels just seconds after narrowly avoiding an oncoming bus near Newport this afternoon (Thursday).
At around 16:30 the blue Citoren Saxo overtook a vehicle on Whiterails Road, only just missing an oncoming Southern Vectis bus. Then, as the car speedily negotiated a right-hand bend onto Staplers Road, the driver dramatically lost control and almost rolled the car down the road.
Dashcam footage captured by Newport resident Jaimie Bundell shows how, unbelievably, the driver and any occupants escaped serious injury or death.
Police have been informed.
