Motorists passing through Brading have looked on in confusion this afternoon (Friday) after a car came to rest on top of a fence lining the road.
It is unclear how the Silver Fiat Doblo ended up straddling the fence at the top of a driveway on New Road on the outskirts of the town, leading to motorists discussing the bizarre road traffic collision on the Isle of Wight Breaking News Group.
Officers from Hampshire Constabulary’s Roads Policing Unit based in Shanklin have attended the scene and questioned those involved as to the circumstances of the incident.
The road remains open and traffic is flowing, however delays may be possible when the vehicle is recovered.
