UPDATED: A car has rolled and come to rest on its roof near Parkhurst Forest this morning (Friday). 

The silver Renault Clio is thought to have hit black ice before losing control on a bend on Hillis Gate Road at around 08:00.

No one has been seriously injured in the crash and it is understood the occupant of the car – a young woman – has been able to free herself.

Police and ambulance crews are on scene close between Noke Common and Rolls Hill in an area known as Mark’s Coroner.

The road is partially blocked and motorists are being diverted away from the area.

UPDATE @ 10:05 – The scene has now been cleared.

The driver of the Clio – a woman in her 20s – and a second occupant of the vehicle have both escaped injury.
