A Toyota Corolla has this afternoon (Tuesday) ended up deep in a ditch at the side of the road following a three car road traffic collision on Beaper Shute, Ryde.
Emergency services were called to the scene near to the junction with Carpenter’s Road at 14:52.
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service dispatched two ambulance crews to the incident to attend to two patients, one of which was suffering neck pain and the other shock.
A Mitsubishi Trojan 4X4 and a modern Mini Clubman were also involved in the collision with all three cars suffering serious damage.
The road remains open while recovery takes place.
Stag Lane Motors have within the last 20 minutes recovered the red Toyota from the ditch using a hiab lorry.
Delays are expected in the area throughout this afternoon.
