Emergency services are this afternoon attending a road traffic collision on Undercliff Drive between Niton and St Lawrence after a vehicle crashed into a road sign.
Two appliances from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service, one from Newport and one from Shanklin, were deployed to the scene near to the Tollgate Cottage shortly after 13:45 to reports of two persons trapped inside a vehicle.
Island Echo understands the disabled driver was trapped in the Vauxhall Zafira but uninjured, alongside a front seat passenger.
Police and Ambulance crews have also attended the scene.
UPDATE @ 15:00 – The road remains open, however, delays are likely when the vehicle is recovered from the scene.
