Aspire in Ryde recently welcomed Emma, Dan, Helen, Joe and Bill from B&Q, who joined them as part of Neighbourly’s Community Days 2025 to help spruce up the garden at Aspire’s Dover Street hub.
The team spent the day improving the outdoor space for everyone to enjoy.
Throughout the day, the B&Q volunteers cleaned and cleared the garden, built a new planter, refreshed the rockery, and sanded and re-varnished the benches. Their hard work has turned a previously underused area into a welcoming spot where visitors can relax, meet, or enjoy some fresh air.
Emma, who led the team, said:
“We’re so glad Aspire are happy with what the team achieved. We all had a fantastic day!”
An Aspire spokesperson added:
“We’re so grateful to Emma and the whole B&Q team. Their energy and enthusiasm have made a real difference, and our garden is now a lovely space the community can enjoy.”
