UPDATED: Police and Coastguard teams have this morning (Monday) discovered a body at Culver Cliff after a car plunged over the cliff edge.
Emergency services attended the notorious location near Sandown at around 05:00 this morning, where the body of a currently unnamed person was discovered.
Coastguard Rescue 104 from Lee-on-Solent was tasked to assist ground units with the search at around 05:00, before winching the deceased and a Coastguard Rescue Officer to the top of the cliff.
UPDATE @ 09:40 – It has been confirmed by Police that the body of a male, believed to be in his 30s, was recovered from the foot of Culver Cliff after the male drove off the cliff top in a car.
The identity of the individual is yet to be released.
