The red and white helicopter landed at 16:30 after being tasked to the area on request of the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service to an unwell patient, which they couldn’t transport by land ambulance due to the steep steps leading down to the peaceful cove.

The unknown patient was airlifted to Seaclose Park, Newport before being taken to St Mary’s Hospital by land ambulance.
