A food recall has been issued for a popular ASDA product due to fears it may contain pieces of plastic or metal.
Exceptional by ASDA Beer Battered Cod Fishcakes (290g) are being pulled from sale as a precaution over possible foreign body contamination.
The following products are affected.

Customers who have purchased the affected product are being urged not to eat it.
Instead, it should be returned to the nearest store where a full refund will be issued. A receipt is not required.
ASDA has apologised for any inconvenience caused and says further information can be obtained by contacting its customer relations team.
The recall notice was issued on Wednesday 30th April.
