ASDA DONATE £2,000 TO THREE ISLE OF WIGHT CHARITY ORGANISATIONS

Supermarket chain ASDA has donated £2,000 to 3 charity organisations today (Tuesday).

Each year ASDA across the country invest over £1.4 million in over 4,000 good causes through their Green Token Giving Programme, giving back to organisations in your local area.

The Isle of Wight store in Newport has today announced they are giving £1,000 to the Monkey Haven after they came first.

In joint second and third place, Sight for Wight and Pan Together have secured £500 each.

Clare, ASDA’s Community Champion said:

“The Monkey Haven came first winning a fantastic £1,000 with both Sight for Wight and Pan Together each picking up £500.

“Well done to them all.”

How does the scheme work?

Visit your local Asda store in Newport which runs the Green Token Giving Programme.

Once you’re at the checkout, make sure you receive your Green Token from the cashier.

When you’re leaving the store, make a vote by placing your green token into one of the three nominated slots.
