A 28-year-old man has been arrested following a public order incident outside a pub in East Cowes last night (Wednesday), during which a man was seen with a knife.
Police were called at 20:30 to reports of a public order incident involving a man with a knife by the Victoria Tavern and GKN on Clarence Road.
Officers attended and arrested a 28-year-old man on nearby Kings Road.
Members of the public nearby were asked whether they had seen a topless man running around.
The unnamed 28-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of a public order offence and possession of a knife in a public place and remains in custody at this time.
