UPDATED: Heavy showers and possibly some more prolonged rain is expected to affect southeastern parts of England including the Isle of Wight during Sunday, leading to another severe weather warning being issued.
The Met Office are warning that between 30-50 mm of rain is possible between 00:15 and 23:50 on Sunday, with locally as much as 25 mm falling in just a few hours. Added to the heavy rainfall experienced over the last week, some issues from standing water or very localised flooding are possible.
In addition, the Met Office say thunderstorms, which are likely to develop across northern France, may come north leading to some torrential downpours.
UPDATE SATURDAY@ 11:00 – The Met Office have extended their weather warning, saying that thundery showers or areas of heavy rain are likely to affect some southern and eastern parts of England from 22:00 tonight until 23:50 tomorrow night (Sunday).

UPDATE SUNDAY – The Met Office have now removed the weather warning for the Isle of Wight, although the warning area remains close having been shifted slightly East.
