The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has landed at Whitecroft Park on the fringes of Newport this afternoon (Friday) in response to a medical emergency.
It was just before 12:25 that the air ambulance was alerted to a situation developing at the luxury housing estate between Blackwater and Gatcombe.
The distinctive yellow and green helicopter took off from Southampton General Hospital and flew due south, landing in the grounds of Whitecroft Park at around 12:40.
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service is also on scene with a rapid response paramedic and an ambulance crew.
UPDATE @ 14:18 – The air ambulance has lifted off from Whitecroft and is now en-route to another mission.
The incident has been brought to a close.
