Unseasonable adverse weather has led to the suspension of Hovertravel’s service between Ryde-Southsea this lunchtime (Tuesday).
The cross-Solent operator says that the bad weather currently affecting the Isle of Wight means no services can run.
The next update is expected at 14:45, but there is no guarantee that the operation will resume at that time.
Tickets are being accepted on Wightlink Fastcat service until further notice.
UPDATE @ 14:51 – Red Funnel has confirmed that the hi-speed Red Jet service has now been suspended.
Meanwhile, Hovertravel has confirmed its service remains suspended with the next update will be at 16:45.
UPDATE @ 17:25 – Red Jet services have now resumed.
UPDATE @ 17:56 – The 17:55 and 18:30 Red Jets from Southampton and the 18:30 and 19:05 from West Cowes have been cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.
UPDATE – All services have now resumed.
