3 people are feared dead, with many others injured, following a reported ‘terror attack’ in Reading.
The incident has occurred at a public park in Reading town centre this evening (Saturday) and has resulted in 1 person being arrested by Thames Valley Police.
Reports say that multiple people have been stabbed and some are fighting for their lives following the incident at Forbury Gardens.
Extremely graphic videos are circulating social media tonight which show at least 4 people covered in blood on the floor as witnesses and police officers perform CPR on the casualties.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police has said:
“Officers, along with other emergency services were called to Forbury Gardens, Reading at around 7pm following reports of a stabbing that had taken place.
“Officers arrested a man at the scene who is now in police custody.
“A number of people sustained injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment.

2 air ambulances landed at Kings Meadow and several police vehicles responded to the attack, with images on social media showing a significant police presence.
Multiple other air ambulances also attended the incident, including the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
With the revelation that the incident may be terror-related, Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said:
“My thoughts are with all of those affected by the appalling incident in Reading and my thanks to the emergency services on the scene”.
