22-year-old Ellen Cadman-Smith, who previously worked in an Isle of Wight school as a mentor, has been charged with 2 sexual offences after allegedly grooming an underage boy.
The Isle of Wight Magistrates Court heard yesterday (Tuesday) how the young woman is accused of grooming a boy under the age of 16 and even booking a hotel room for them both.
Ms Cadman-Smith, previously of York Road in Sandown and now of Kingfisher Close in Newport, is charged with being an adult meeting a boy under 16 years of age following grooming and engaging in sexual communication with a child.
The offences are said to have occurred early in 2020.
The case has been adjourned to the Isle of Wight Crown Court on 14th June 2021. Ellen has been given bail until her next court appearance.
