The driver and passenger of a Mitsubishi L200 pick up truck have escaped any serious injury after ploughing into a tree on the outskirts of Wootton earlier today (Sunday).
Police were called to Brocks Copse Road between Wootton and Whippingham at 11:26.
A black Mitsubishi L200 – travelling towards Wootton – left the carriageway and collided with a tree.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed that 2 people suffered minor injuries in the smash.
No other vehicles were involved.
Brocks Copse Road was closed for a time but has since reopened.
My guess is idiot drivers speeding in dangerous wet and windy
conditions.
