Binstead Primary School’s Lillian Stafford has been using her artistic skills to raise money for protective aprons.
Lillian, who is a Year 5 pupil at the school near Ryde, took it upon herself to a paint a range of animal paintings which she then sold at the Christmas Fayre in December.
The money raised has been used to purchase painting aprons for Years 5 and 6 which will be used by hundreds of pupils over the years to come.
Tonya Jayston, Chair of the Friends of Binstead Primary School, has said that they group have been deeply touched by Lillian’s fundraising efforts.
