30 school children and 4 members of staff have been told to self-isolate following 2 confirmed cases of COVID-19 at Summerfields Primary School in Newport.
Parents have been informed that 2 individuals have tested positive for the coronavirus within the school community.
This has resulted in Year 6 students being informed they must now self-isolate for 10 days. 4 members of staff also in the year group bubble must do the same.
The news will undoubtedly ruin Christmas plans for dozens of families this week.
