Emergency services were called to a medical incident near Ryde Harbour yesterday afternoon (Wednesday), with a woman taken to hospital for treatment.
Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team was tasked at 14:18 to assist Isle of Wight Ambulance Service after reports of an injured person on the sea defence near the entrance to Ryde Harbour.
The incident occurred off Quay Road car park, behind the former ice rink.
Coastguard Rescue Officers assisted paramedics at the scene, with a female casualty transferred into an ambulance for onward conveyance to St Mary’s Hospital in Newport.
Her injury is believed to have been leg-related.
