The WightAID Foundation has in less than 2 years helped 64 charities across the Isle of Wight with more than £186,000 granted to those in need.

Last month the foundation awarded a total of £7,784 to a further 5 local causes including £3,000 to Upper Ventnor Community Association; £3,364 to Independent Arts; £500 to Daisy Chains; £420 to Ryde Saints FC and £500 to Magpie Arts.

WightAID has been able to grant to all these charities due to the support from Island businesses and individuals.

Rob da Bank, Trustee of WightAID has said:

“Being an avid adopted Islander for the last 15 years I’ve seen first-hand how many amazing charities exist on the island but for one reason or another just can’t cut through and achieve the fundraising they need. This is where WightAid come in and nail it in one fell swoop.

“It’s a fantastically simple idea and I really hope you can see the huge benefit even a modest donation can make to peoples lives”.

If you would like to be a part of WightAID’s network and help the Island community then head over to www.wightaid.org or ring 01983 555915.
