Wight Whisky has secured a prestigious trio of accolades at the World Whiskies Awards 2026, placing the Isle of Wight-based producer among the world’s most celebrated names in whisky.
The distillery’s Signature Malt Blend claimed Gold for Taste, was named Category Winner in the Blended Whisky class, and also won Best English Blended Whisky. These honours were decided through blind tastings by an expert international judging panel.
The World Whiskies Awards are part of the globally respected World Drinks Awards, which highlight excellence across over 35 spirit categories.
This year’s competition drew entries from across the globe, with tastings conducted worldwide to ensure a rigorous and inclusive judging process.
Lucy Gregg, Co-Founder of Wight Whisky, has said:
“These awards are a powerful endorsement of our commitment to quality and our dedication to crafting exceptional whisky. To be recognised at a global level by the World Whiskies Awards is an incredible honour for our entire team.”
The Signature Malt Blend was praised for its balance, character, and craftsmanship. It combines carefully selected malts with meticulous blending, honouring traditional methods while embracing modern English whisky innovation.
Winning Best English Blended Whisky positions Wight Whisky at the forefront of a growing and increasingly diverse English whisky movement, further cementing the Isle of Wight’s presence on the global spirits map.

Irish whiskey or Scottish whisky for me all day long.
I find other manufacturers an expensive novelty
ideal for gifts though.
I’ll drink to that.
