The White Lion in Niton has now reopened its doors following the closure of the village pub a year-and-a-half ago.
Landlords Sharon and Les welcomed locals for drinks and nibbles at the newly decorated pub, which has seen extensive refurbishment work take place both inside and out, last Wednesday (24th May).
There were previously talks of the watering hole reopening as ‘The Niton Arms’ to differentiate between The White Lion in Niton and The White Lion in Arreton. However, the pub has retained its existing name.
The pub was previously run by Character Inns but spiralling costs and a lack of trade were blamed for the closure in January 2016.
The White Lion is open from 11:00-23:00 with food served from 12 noon-21:00.
