Westhill Nursery in Ryde has been named one of the Top 20 nurseries in South East England following glowing feedback from parents.
The Ryde-based nursery, which is part of Ryde School, has been recognised by daynurseries.co.uk as one of the best-rated early years settings in the region.
The award is based entirely on feedback from families and carers whose children attend the nursery, with Westhill ranked among the Top 20 out of 2,542 early years settings across South East England.
Nurseries were assessed across a wide range of criteria, including overall standard, facilities and outdoor space, learning and development, care and activities, staff, food and nutrition, management, cleanliness, safeguarding and value for money.
Across the UK, there are more than 15,000 nurseries employing over 400,000 people, supporting around 1 million children aged from 3 months to 5 years.
daynurseries.co.uk, which lists all registered nurseries in the UK, features verified reviews from families alongside detailed information on facilities, fees and services to help parents and guardians choose childcare.

“We hope these awards provide helpful guidance for parents so they can choose the right nursery for their child.”
Sian Hickmott, Nursery Manager of Westhill Nursery, has added:
“We are all absolutely thrilled to bits. It’s such an achievement and I’m so proud of all the staff. They always pull together and this award is testament to their dedication and hard work.
“It has been wonderful to have the support of the parents, who truly value what we do. At Westhill, the early years curriculum runs alongside a range of additional opportunities, utilising the Ryde School site to offer outdoor learning activities, plus tag rugby, cricket and ballet.
“Set in a fully restored Victorian building, Westhill provides a nurturing environment for young children to thrive, perfectly equipping them for moving into reception. By following the nursery’s Rainbow Rules, the children begin to learn and practice Ryde School’s values of Ambition, Responsibility, Courage and Respect.”
