The 2018 Milk & More Milkman of the Year competition is now open, with residents across the Isle of Wight being encouraged to vote for their local milkman.
Organised by the nation’s largest doorstep milk delivery service, the competition recognises and rewards the very best Milk & More milkmen and women from across the country.
Milk & More is inviting its customers on the south coast to explain in 30 words or less why their local milkman or woman is deserving of recognition. All customers have to do to nominate their chosen milkman or woman is fill in the entry form which will be delivered through their door or visit www.milkandmore.co.uk/MOTY before voting closes on 6th October 2018.
Last year’s Milk & More Milkman of the Year winner, Darren Barnes, was nominated for ‘always going the extra mile’ for his customers, many of whom he refers to as family. A milkman for more than 30 years, Darren’s concern for his local community and keen observational skills have resulted in him raising the alarm in times of trouble.
Patrick Mueller, MD of Milk & More, said:
“Our milkmen and women are an integral part of their local communities and we are working hard to ensure this great British tradition will be here for generations to come. This competition is a chance for people to let their local Milk & More milkmen and women know what an important role they play in the community.”
Milk &More has recently introduced a new fleet of environmentally friendly electric milk floats, as pictured above, and is the largest operator of electric vehicles in the UK.
4 Milk & More Milkman of the Year regional winners will be announced on 23rd October 2018 and the overall winner will be revealed in late November.
