Police on the Isle of Wight are appealing for the public’s help in locating 19-year-old Erin Tellick, who was last seen 4 days ago on May 19th.
Tellick is from Porchfield on the Island and was last seen when she left home saying she was going to Portsmouth. However, Police believe she has travelled to the Victoria area of London.
Her disappearance is extremely out of character and the Police and her family are concerned for her welfare. Officers have been conducting extensive enquiries to try and locate Erin and now Police are turning to the public for assistance.
Erin is described as being white, of slim build, around 5ft 5ins tall, and with long black hair. She was last seen wearing a cream puffer coat, cream jogging bottoms, white and black Nike trainers, and carrying a black square tote bag.
If you have seen Erin or have any information about her whereabouts, then please call 101, quoting the reference 44230201112.
UPDATE 25TH MAY – Erin has now been located, Police have confirmed.

erin an adult who is responsible for herself, her life and her decisions- she doesn’t have to tell anyone where she is going, when she will be back or why she has gone -that is what being over 18 enables you to do in this country
ever thought she has left and doesn’t want anyone knowing where she is.
But they said its very out of character and she is only 19 and she’s been missing for 4 days. Obviously her parents are worried and concerned would you not be if that was your daughter?
Islander has some merit to what hes saying, she could be just rebelling or if that’s what she can afford to do she could just get to Portsmouth but It is a very nuanced area. So basically we either should use the cameras that are pretty much everywhere to trace her or give her her independence. But I dont think most parents are truly aware of what there kids are doing, so to say out of character most 19 year olds change every hour so maybe parents have over reached but I guess ultimately it is 21st century with cat fishing at the likes
If she has left of her own accord, she ought to let someone know that she is safe. The fact that she’s acting out of character means that everyone who loves her will be completely consumed with worry and you comment reveals you to be an immature thoughtless Ahole.
You could tell from his comment hes a Immature thoughtless ahole wow bro hoisted by your own petard, at least he spoke his mind, and if you cant find merit in what islander said then you havent read it, you just merely imposed how you think. She is 19 so hes right in this country we are entitled to independence but to call him what you said is just unintelligent. Dont judge him for seemingly neglecting basic human empathy by suggesting he doesn’t care what’s happened to her’ that is quite frankly immature, if you cant be constructive in the way you address your opinion then all your doing if force feeding your narrative. Having said all this it has been 4 days so the nuanced becomes clearer.
thank you sanguinius – it is likely that she will have taken note of local media, if disappeared of her own volition and may contact the police to advise that she is ok and don’t bother looking for her, as she doesn’t want to see her family for whatever reason. The police are under no obligation to advise family members where someone is, if they do not wish to be found.
having said that – there is always the case that something untoward may have happened to her – that is a different story though
so many possibilities why someone disappears – and it would be foolish to only stick to one narrow opinion corridor in these cases.
dave – i should advise that out of all the people reported as “missing” in the world, a percentage will only be missing in the eyes of those that think they have some right to know where that person is. That percentage of individuals are not missing from their point of view and have left of their own accord and don’t want others knowing where they are, for reasons known to them, such as coercion, bullying, abuse, harassment, or just fed up of being imposed on by others.
there is the scenario that a “caring, loving, desperate partner” has reported someone missing, however, that person has cleared off, to get away from an annoying, overbearing, jealous, controlling partner, who is pretending to be caring and worried.
With so many evil newcomers here anything could have happened to the young lady.
So of course the Police are right to ask for help. Too late is to late.
Because only newcomers commit crimes
Evil newcomers???!!! Lol
Does anybody actually read the posts or is it out of fear they think every man is capable of taking women? For a start, she left the island to go to Portsmouth but ended up in Victoria London so sorry that doesn’t fit your narrative, and people are people no matter their geographic location
Maybe you should all just mind your own business instead of making up nonsense.
www has always been associated with being a sign of the devil, I wouldn’t be surprised if she has done this via internet connections on her mobile phone, or tablet. I hope someone is checking any electronic devices left behind or looking into phone use especially as the “disappearance” is totally out of character.
Done what? What on earth are you on about? Are you high?
Why has nobody said the obvious? ET phone home!
I myself have an adult ‘child’ still living at home while he saves up to get his foot on the property ladder. If he suddenly disappeared without any contact, and didnt at least let me know he was safe and well I would be absolutely frantic with worry. It doesn’t matter what age they are, 19, 25, 30 – if it’s out of character then it’s concerning.
I really hope the young lady is found safe and well because I know exactly how I would feel if she were my daughter.
Although I agree with some commentators saying she is 19 and can legally do as she pleases, however, a missing person is a missing person. If my grown up child seemingly disappeared off the face of the earth for several days, possibly far away with no understanding as to why then I would, like any concerned parent, contact authorities to help locate her.
