Local people and visitors to the Isle of Wight enjoyed entertainment from a Hampshire-based 22-strong ukulele band earlier this month.
Uke Box Glory took to the roads, courtesy of a Southern Vectis Needles Breezer, playing their way around the open top bus route before putting on special performances at 2 of the Island’s most popular tourist attractions – Freshwater Bay and Colwell Bay.
Southern Vectis’ operations manager, Steve Roscoe said:
“It was a tremendous honour transporting this talented group of musicians across our beautiful island.
“We were very lucky with the weather – which is just as well with the wonderful views from the top deck of our Breezer. And music-lovers weren’t the only beneficiaries here – with Wave 105’s Cash for Kids appeal receiving any money raised on the day.”
