Island Echo readers have been taking to social media to express their shock at seeing an ‘orb’ flying through the skies above the Isle of Wight this morning (Wednesday).
Against misty, grey skies the object appears oddly shaped and black.
There is no need to panic about this unidentified flying object though… it has been confirmed as being a hot air balloon!
The grenade-shaped balloon is used by the brand ‘Grenade’ as part of their UK marketing. It’s certainly got people talking…
Island Echo is told that the balloon is part of Robin Hill’s ‘Sky High’ team, with the balloon expected to be back on the Island for May half term. Full details and tickets are available online now at https://robin-hill.com/sky-high-night-glow/.
Thanks to Les for this video…

Anyone older than three can see that it is a balloon – jeez
To be fair, a lot only have a mental age of three. Just look at the utter rubbish spouted by the covidiots.
You can tell it is from an advanced alien civilisation by the basket hanging underneath.
Advanced civilisation, the mainland.
Are the Isle of Wight residents the thickest in the U.K
That’s a clever comment.
Are islanders stupid
Bit obivious not aliens but would you believe!
Did county hall panic as it drifted towards them?
